Free System Plans

Simply Hydroponics and Organics has put together a collection of plans for several simple hydroponic systems. These are perfect for novices who would like to experiment with hydroponics and don't want to lay out a lot of money for larger systems.

The following are basic plans of simple systems that you can build out of readily available materials. These systems may not be sophisticated but they can work very well.

Remember that when you are using these or any hydroponic system, you must use a hydroponic fertilizer (hydroponic fertilizers contain Micro-nutrients that are vital to the health of you plants, regular plant foods don't normally contain micro-nutrients). You must also control the pH of your nutrient solution (pH is very important to plant health).

	HAND-WATERED BUCKET - Sounds simple and it is! The beauty of this system is it's simplicity. This easy to build and very inexpensive hydroponic system works great and can be easily automated if you desire.
	WATER CULTURE SYSTEM - Another simple yet productive system. Very popular for the classroom. This is the method of choice for growing "Bibb" type (loose leaf) lettuce.
	EBB & FLOW SYSTEM - This system is getting a bit more sophisticated but is still easy and inexpensive to build and maintain.
